Born to Telugu celebrity Krishna Ghattamaneni, she started her performing career by doing a cameo role in the 1999 movie Rajasthan and went to become a lead performer Summer in Bethlehem, in a Malayalam film. She found popularity by producing and starring Show, in the 2002 film. She’s the daughter and third child of Indira Devi and veteran performer Krishna Ghattamaneni. She’s two sisters and two brothers. Her elder brother, Ramesh Babu, can also be her younger brother and a film producer, Mahesh Babu is a popular Telugu performer. Manjula is married to performer Sanjay Swaroop & producer. They’ve a daughter. She’s known to be good buddies with her sister in law Namrata Shirodkar. She also acted in 1998 Malayalam movie Summer in Bethlehem starring Suresh Gopi and Jayaram as among the female leads. When Manjula started her profession, she faced a negative answer from the supporters of her dad as they didn’t need her to act.
