Public Groundwork for the festival starts months. These pandals are generally financed by local residents and are accumulated through workshops and fairs. The idols are brought to “pandals” or temporary constructions typically 15-20 days before. At home the festival starts with the collection and installation of a clay murti (idol). , Families decorate a little, clean corner with blooms and other colourful things before installing the idol. .
