Sreemukhi family hails from North India. Her family was settlers in Nizamabad long time ago. Sreemukhi father is a government employee, and her mother is a beautician. In her school days, she used to be the topper; she scored 95% in her 1oth class. She is very fond of education and reading. Her aim was to become a doctor she even marched forward to become doctor according to the marks scored in EAMCET. She could have been BDS.

When she was pursuing BDS second year, along with her friends she went to visit program named ‘Home Minister.’ which was telecasted on ETV. The program director of the show suggested Sreemukhi begin anchoring. The program director even also made Sreemukhi’s parents agree.

Later Sreemukhi stopped studying BDS and started to anchor TV shows. She never looked back after her shows got a good name. She continuously received offers. In the initial stages, she used to struggle to speak Telugu fluently. But slowly she practiced by watching TV and reading the newspaper. She said that she likes ‘Pataas.’ show a lot in her career. The aim to become a doctor is incomplete in her career she will soon fulfill her dream.
